The Active Headbangers

This play group is not for the faint of heart. These dogs roll each other in the mud, pluck the chickens, chase motorcycles down the fencerow, and occasionally get into noisy disagreements that mean they must be monitored when turned out together and segregated when unsupervised. While there is not a truly aggressive dog among them, they do require a higher level of pack management and handlers with a lot of energy.

The Mellow Fellows

This group of dogs definitely likes spending time in the great outdoors. And every now and then they might chase a butterfly. But they’re not really interested in hard play and just want to spend their days in peace. Most of them are fully house-trained and have house privileges.

The Insiders

These are the spoiled lapdogs, even lapdogs that weigh 50 kilos. These are the ones who don’t like to get their paws dirty, who think rain will melt them at the molecular level. They’re bed-sleepers and sofa-sitters, nary an adventurous bone in any of their little bodies. They live in our house full time and make sure we know they think the outside is for goats and spiders.
