We don’t have a very large farm, only about six acres of grazeable land. So we can’t take in every horse, donkey, cow, goat, or pig that comes along. However, grass grows nonstop here, year-round. It’s critical that we put something on these fields that will eat it, or we’ll be hardcore jungle again in five years. All of our large animals are not “rescues” in the classic sense of the word. They don’t necessarily have hair-raising backstories or deep emotional scars. Still, they were animals who needed a place to go, and we had that place for them.

Horses
Just one horse for now. They are herd animals, so we hope to find at least one more pasture mate for her. Maybe two.
Goats
Like horses, goats are herd animals. We are currently searching for a friend for our lone goat.
Pigs
We have three “minis.” That’ll do, pig. That’ll do.
