Tori

One of the first dogs rescued by Site Director Rhonda Kay way back in 2013, Tori never found her way into an adopter’s home or onto rescue transport. Turns out there was a reason for that–in 2019, Michel Quievreux saw her and it was love at first sight. All those years of being overlooked were instantly forgotten when he chose Tori as his very own Heart Dog. As his faithful companion, Tori has traveled to five countries on three continents, seen the Eiffel Tower, the English Channel, various oceans, and sheltered in place with Michel during the pandemic.

These days she prefers to be an indoor girl, not caring much for the jungle but perfectly happy to follow her people around the house. She’s a bed sleeper and chair sitter, absolutely appalled by the rain, but she does love a good walk down to the river when the sun is shining and Michel doesn’t forget to take her along.
